We are currently working with a tier 2 ranked legal 500 firm as it seeks to expand its Intellectual Property (IP) practice with the addition of a talented and experienced Partner or Legal Director for its Bristol office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the firm’s IP practice, with a particular focus on patent litigation, as well as broader contentious and non-contentious IP matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with an ability to generate new business and further strengthen the firm’s presence in the market
  • Providing high-quality legal advice on a wide range of IP issues including trademarks, patents, copyright, and design rights
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the team, ensuring continuous professional growth within the department

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in IP law, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation, ideally at Partner or Legal Director level within a reputable law firm
  • 8+ Years’ PQE
  • Proven track record of managing complex IP matters and delivering commercially driven legal solutions
  • Strong business development skills with a solid network of clients and contacts
  • Ability to provide strategic advice and contribute to the firm’s wider business objectives
