My client, a leading national law firm, is seeking an experienced IP Transactions Associate to join their top-tier team in Bristol.This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced IP Lawyer to work on exciting projects with leading national and international clients in a place that fosters employee wellbeing. The firm not only offers a well-located office in Bristol, easily commutable from London, but also provides flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home.You’ll be joining a dynamic team of over 20 lawyers, known for their expertise in non-contentious Intellectual Property law. My client’s team is consistently ranked in the top tier by Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, and they have built a strong reputation for handling complex, high-profile IP matters. As part of this team, your work will involve:
  • Handling IP transactions, including licensing, assignments, and franchising contracts
  • Advising on structuring IP ownership
  • Drafting and negotiating R&D and collaboration agreements (spanning both academic and private sectors), as well as joint ventures
  • Conducting intellectual property audits
  • Providing support for broader transactions
With a deep understanding of various industry sectors, my client attracts top-tier clients in retail, technology & telecoms, food, sports, energy & infrastructure.
  • 4+ Years experience in non-contentious/transactional Intellectual Property matters
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage a complex and varied workload with ease
  • A self-motivated approach with a commitment to continuous learning
  • Experience in mentoring and leading others
  • Qualification as a lawyer, registered with the SRA or the Law Society of Scotland
