Location: Bristol

Salary: £65-70,000 DOE.

Our client, a leading insurance group that specialises in professional and financial risks, is seeking an experienced Professional & Financial Risks Senior Associate to join their dynamic and growing team. Working with a well-established client base, including major Professional Indemnity Insurers and large professional services firms, our client offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Associate with a strong background in professional indemnity litigation to work on matters involving a range of professions with values ranging from tens of thousands of pounds to multi millions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of Professional Indemnity claims, including coverage issues.
  • Deliver high-quality and timely outputs to clients, ensuring excellent client service and adherence to agreed working practises and service level agreements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the team's services, support, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with partners and lawyers on a range of professions, working autonomously to defend liability claims both pre and post litigation.
  • Provide advice and representation on regulatory issues, risk management, and Ombudsman complaints.
  • Assist insurers in evaluating policy coverage aspects of claims.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of PQE or equivalent relevant expertise.
  • Expertise in professional indemnity litigation, with knowledge of legal procedures.
  • Strong ability to deliver legal and commercial solutions, prioritising outstanding client experiences.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing relationships with clients based on their business objectives.
  • Proactive in contributing to business development and identifying commercial opportunities.
  • Efficient and commercially aware, understanding the importance of financial hygiene.
  • Collaboration and leadership skills, mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Commitment to a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative firm culture.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
