You’ll be part of a busy and successful conveyancing team, managing a varied caseload with the support of a dedicated Paralegal and Legal Secretary. As a Residential Conveyancer, you will handle a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with local estate agents and develop strong client relationships.

• Managing residential property transactions from start to finish.

• Interviewing clients, taking instructions, and maintaining accurate file notes.

• Conducting compliance checks, reviewing source of funds evidence, and ensuring AML compliance.

• Drafting and reviewing contract packs, raising enquiries, and submitting searches.

• Preparing title, mortgage, and search reports.

• Acting for mortgage lenders and overseeing contract exchanges.

• Providing clients with clear, timely updates on case progress and costs.

• Drafting and reviewing legal documents and agreements.

• Participating in marketing and business development, including networking and social media engagement.

• Preparing bills of costs, completion statements, and managing funds transfers.

• Handling client account transactions in line with firm policies.

• Ensuring all financial procedures are compliant with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer.

• Have previous experience handling residential property transactions, ideally within the Bristol market.

• Hold a Law degree or CILEx Professional Qualification (CPQ).

• Be IT-savvy and confident using legal case management systems.

• Have excellent client care skills, with a personable and professional approach.

• Be proactive in business development, including networking and social media engagement.
