The Company:Our client is a well-established probate and estate administration company whose aim is to ensure they offer a seamless and straightforward service for customers and families in their time of need. Our client is looking for experienced Probate Case Managers to join them at an extremely exciting time in the business growth, to help deliver an award-winning estate administration service.

The Job:As a Senior Probate Case Manager you will manage around 40 estates at any given time. Carrying out full reviews, completing technical work and providing your clients with regular updates. Effectively manage communication with clients and business partners. To work tirelessly on customer service excellence and continuously improve communications with families and business partners. You will have a "customer first, all the time" attitude. Ensure that we do everything in our power to make sure that unnecessary stress, anxiety, unexpected obstacles and a generally gruelling or difficult estate administration experience does not happen to the families that entrust our client to take care of their estate administration. You will also take responsibility for the coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues including the checking and signing off work. Work with the Team Mangers and the wider business in arranging and carry out training plans and sessions for staff members including training sessions in 1-2-1 or group environment either in the office or online via Microsoft Teams.

  • Take ownership and responsibility for all individual estates ensuring you provide the right levels of contact, support and advice to your clients and business partners.
  • Responding to incoming emails/telephone calls and check quality of correspondence before dispatch.
  • Ability to provide support levels required in difficult circumstances, helping families to move on
  • Experience dealing with more complex estates, taxable estates.
  • Some experience coaching and mentoring junior staff.
  • Effectively manage and progress a full caseload of approximately 45-60 cases with the average complexity tier being Tier 2.5 or higher
  • Preparing a Technical Overview of an estate
  • Review and completion of IHT205/IHT400 files (to include preparation of Correctives and Loss on sale).
  • Preparation of Oaths and Affidavits.
  • Drafting and completion of any Legal work associated with an estate
  • Reviewing any Trust set up in a Will and formalise.
  • Calculation of Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax.
  • Preparing Estate Accounts.

The Person:For this role our client is seeking someone who has a minimum of 5 years end to end estate administration and probate experience. You’ll be well versed with more complex cases and has a passion to deliver an excellent service to your clients. In addition to this our client is seeking someone who is highly organised, dedicated and pro-active. In delivering the full estate administration process to clients, you will manage and technically progress a challenging caseload from end-to-end, as well as to play an active role in supporting more junior members of the team.

Must have at least 5 years or end to end Estate Administration / Probate experience.Solid experience in a customer focused environment.STEP / CILEX or Part Qualified would be advantageous.

The Hours:

37.5 hours Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm

100% Home working or hybrid working from Bristol
