Description
- Oversee all logistics operations to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team.
- Strategise and implement plans for continuous improvement within the logistics department.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
- Ensure compliance with retail industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee inventory control to ensure accuracy and meet customer demand.
- Develop and implement risk management programs for the logistics department.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
Profile
A successful Group Logistics Manager should have:
- A degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in supply chain, distribution, and logistics management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- A solid understanding of the retail industry and relevant regulations.
- Able to commute to Warrington or Bristol as your base
