Supply Chain Coordinator– Meat Wholesaler

With a focus on excellence, we serve a diverse range of customers, including butchers, restaurants, and retailers. They are looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock Control:
    • Oversee and maintain accurate stock levels to ensure timely supply to customers.
    • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to prevent discrepancies.
    • Implement efficient stock rotation processes to minimize waste.
  • Purchasing:
    • Liaise with existing suppliers to procure the best quality meat and products at competitive prices - raise Purchase Orders
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure consistent supply.
    • Stay updated on market trends, seasonal products, and pricing to optimise purchasing strategies.
  • Operational Support:
    • Liaise with the warehouse team to streamline stock handling processes.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchasing, and deliveries using stock management systems.
    • Address and resolve supplier or stock issues promptly and effectively.

About You:

  • In-depth knowledge of meat cuts, grades, and industry standards (previous role as a butcher would be ideal).
  • Strong communication skills to manage supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and confident IT skills including Excel.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
