Transport Manager
 
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for public transport? Carrington West is working with a client in the Bristol area.  As a Transport Manager you'll be instrumental in delivering key highway authority functions related to public transport, working closely with internal teams, key stakeholders, bus operators, and external partners to enhance services and promote long-term improvements.
 
The Role: In this high-impact position, you will:
 
Act as the lead advisor on public transport matters, representing the organisation in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with regional authorities to support the delivery of ambitious plans that align with the Local Transport Plan and Bus Strategy.
Work with bus operators and partners to deliver effective transport services, ensuring accessibility for all sectors of the community.
Negotiate public transport contributions from new developments, including bus services and infrastructure.
Develop proposals to improve the public transport network and present reports to inform decision-making.
 
What You'll Need:
 
A professional qualification in a relevant field (MCILT) or a related degree, or significant specialist experience.
A deep understanding of public transport operations and a track record of building successful partnerships with external organisations.
Extensive knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting public transport operations.
Proven experience in implementing change, innovation, and successful negotiations with public and private stakeholders.
Strong strategic awareness, problem-solving skills, and commercial acumen.
