Job Title - Senior Liability Loss Adjuster Contract - Permanent Salary - £40,000 - £50,000Location - South West

Casualty and Liability specialists who manage Liability claims ranging from minor slips and trips through to establishing third party Liability connected with catastrophic events. The role provides flexible working arrangements within our clients City Centre offices and working from home, along with regular regional travel required with occasional overnight stays depending upon location.

You'll be supporting valued clients in proactively handling and settling a mixed caseload of third party Liability claims, typically up to the value of £100k. You'll establish liability via thorough investigation on each case, whilst providing support and advice on claims issues to policyholders within specified timeframes. Your portfolio of work will consist of a mixture of employers' liability and public liability claims, with a mixture of investigate and report only cases and on a cradle to grave basis.  

Client relationships will be key, through management and delivery of SLAs and KPIs, in addition to proactive Client and Broker interaction when required to assist in efficient claims handling and business development opportunities.

You'll also be liaising with colleagues within different business areas, such as Property, Major & Complex Loss, Contractor Connections and Legal Services depending upon the nature of the claim, so attention to detail is essential to ensure each step of the claims process is as thorough as possible, collating and recording all necessary statements and evidence as required. 

You'll need to remove hurdles in the process if required, ensuring you get to the root cause of issues, take responsibility to resolve any problems and collate all necessary details to ensure swift settlement / denial whenever possible.

We're looking for talent: Experienced Liability Adjusters ready for your next move. ACII/LLB or working towards these qualifications would be great, however candidates who are qualified by experience are just as welcome to apply, but we do seek candidates with commitment to achieve their personal qualifications.

Ideally, we'd like you to have/be:

  • Proven ability to handle the full range of EL / PL and Product liability claims including claims involving third party property damage
  • Extensive experience of writing investigation reports
  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance market
  • Extensive technical knowledge within the adjusting arena
  • Understanding of Client SLA compliance/productivity/quality requirements
  • Proven proficient working knowledge of scoping software and hand held device use
  • Good negotiation skills
  • To understand what matters to the customer and to put this first - putting yourself in their shoes
  • Good IT skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Flexibility in travelling
  • Full UK driving licence
