Our client is leading original equipment manufacturer and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Shipping Co-ordinator. The psoition is a 12-14 month contract, full time 37.5hours per week.
The Shipping Co-ordinator will be responsible for arranging all import and export shipping arrangements for machinery and spare parts at our clients distribution centre in Bristol.
The Role:
Reporting to the aftersales manager the shipping co-ordinator will arrange the effective shipping of machinery and spare parts to customers all over the world. Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;
- Scheduling timely dispatch / distribution of all orders and liaise with logistics providers, freight forwarders, parcel couriers and shipping companies and warehouse team.
- Arrange Air, Sea and land freight consignments into the EU and non-EU countries
- Produce Customs paperwork (Commercial invoices/Eur1 and ATR1 forms etc etc)
- Co-ordinate air freight imports
- Ensure all information is accurately updated on company ERP systems.
- Liaise with customers and clients as appropriate
Candidate:
The successful candidate will have previous international shipping experience logistics / shipping administration experience and you will be familiar with all aspects associated with booking international shipping and transportation.
You will have excellent understanding of customs import / export doucmentation requirments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Excellent all round IT (including Excel and ERP systems) experience is required.

Monday - Friday 37.5 hours
