A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a UK known company in the Avonmouth Area!

With no day ever being the same the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • PPM and reactive maintenance on pumps / sluices / motors / gearboxes
  • Complete planned, corrective, and reactive maintenance work in a number of different environments
  • Reading OEM Manuals and Technical Drawings.
  • Maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Carry out duties with due care and attention, adhering to the companies Health & Safety Policy and HSE regulations
  • Liaise with operations to prioritise rectification of unserviceable machinery using fault finding diagnostic methodologies and equipment; minimising reactive maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • NVQ3 In a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline
  • Strong Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
  • 5+ years in practical engineering
  • Strong digital skills including SAP
  • Management / Supervisory experience - beneficial
  • Good level of understanding of Engineering Management Systems and Processes.
  • Must hold UK Driver's Licence
  • Ability to ensure quality standards are met and maintained when conducting maintenance and recording maintenance feedback
