We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Housing Repairs Coordinator to oversee the scheduling and management of repairs across our housing stock. You will be responsible for ensuring that repair requests are handled efficiently, resources are allocated effectively, and tenants are kept fully informed throughout the process.
This is a crucial role within the Responsive Repairs Team, requiring strong coordination skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
路Schedule and allocate repairs to operatives and contractors, ensuring resources are used efficiently and works are completed right the first time.
路Monitor and track progress of repairs throughout the day, liaising with operatives, surveyors, and tenants to ensure timely completion.
路Provide outstanding customer service, responding to tenant and stakeholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
路Update internal systems with accurate and up-to-date information on repair statuses, ensuring all records are well maintained.
路Work closely with contractors to ensure repairs are carried out to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
路Identify and escalate health and safety concerns related to repair works as needed.
路Communicate effectively with tenants regarding any changes or delays to scheduled repairs, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
路Support the Repairs Team by providing advice and guidance to colleagues, ensuring processes align with policies and procedures.
About You
路Previous experience in housing repairs coordination, scheduling, or property maintenance administration is highly desirable
路Knowledge of responsive repairs processes and housing maintenance services.
路Experience in customer service within a housing, property, or local authority setting.
路Understanding of health and safety regulations in housing repairs.
路Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
路Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
路Ability to handle multiple repair requests simultaneously, ensuring all jobs are managed efficiently.
路IT proficiency, with experience using housing management or scheduling systems.
路Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and find effective solutions.
路Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
路Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
路Previous experience in a housing, maintenance, or property repairs setting is desirable.
