Your new companyYou will be working for an automotive manufacturing company who are currently looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The company has been supplying major OEMs for more than 40 years. With an established workbook and a passion to invest, this business will provide you with a range of career growth opportunities. Your new roleIn your new role, you will mainly be responsible for enhancing factory efficiency through re-layouts, line balancing, and tooling improvements. Collecting and analysing data to focus on process improvements. Conducting various engineering activities for current production programs. Identifying root causes of problems and implementing permanent corrective actions. You will also conduct other similarly related engineering activities such as managing costs, adhering to health and safety, delivering high quality customer service, leading to continuous improvement projects and more.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in your application you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree (2:1) in engineering, analytical, or numerate disciplines, or equivalent - not crucial to your application.
  • Strong engineering knowledge with practical application skills.
  • Logical problem-solving approach.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a process-related engineering role.
  • Proven track record of implementing improvements and achieving cost savings.
  • Excellent organisational skills and project management experience.
  • Experience of designing tools and components, with accurate drawings and overseeing their manufacture.
  • Familiarity with compiling and maintaining Bills of Material and ERP system data.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Experience working with subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
