A large precision engineering firm in the Bristol surrounding area is seeking a New Maintenance Engineer to join their business following a period of expansion and growth. With an established presence in their sector and considerable projections in the coming years, this company offers long-term stability and career growth potential like no other.

Your new role
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be directly responsible for adhering to planned preventative maintenance schedules as well as reactive maintenance alongside. This role has a bias toward electrical maintenance and will operate under a double-day shift pattern with hours 6am-12pm, 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday and a half day on Friday. You will work towards a TPM mentality by focusing on fault-finding, repairing and improving a wide range of production equipment including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines.

  • Resolve breakdowns.
  • Source and purchase spares.
  • Maintenance of CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Run operations according to the company's Code of Conduct and Health and Safety Guidelines.
  • Test and inspect electrical installations.

    What you'll need to succeed
    To be successful in this application for this Maintenance Engineer role, you must:
  • Have experience in a CNC manufacturing environment.
  • Have excellent electrical knowledge.
  • Have a range of industry recognised qualifications such as: City & Guilds, NVQs, BTEC, HNC, HND etc...
  • Understand good maintenance and engineering practices.
  • Be able to use your own initiative and work autonomously when required.

    What you'll get in return
    This role offers an annual salary of up to 45,000 with a very desirable shift pattern of Monday to Friday, a double day shift pattern.
