Production Engineer (Permanent)

An experienced Production Engineer sought for a global manufacturing brand within the oil and gas, rail and subsea sectors. The main responsibilities of the Production Engineer are to improve the quality of production, reduce production costs and conduct audits of third-party manufacturers.

The role will be suited to an experienced production engineer that has experience with the quality and inspection processes involved with PCBA and electromechanical assemblies.

The Role:
·Management of a small production team and implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
·Audit third party manufacturers.
·Resolve technical and quality issues throughout manufacturing process.
·Collaborate with the design, quality and supply chain teams to ensure effective manufacturing process.
·Work to improve quality, reduce production costs and monitor the performance of third-party manufacturers.

The Person:
·Experience implementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
·Experience carrying out quality inspections of PCBAs.
·Knowledge of wiring regulations (18th Edition) and requirements for electrical installations.
·Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
·Experience of PCB and high reliability electromechanical assemblies within industries such as oil and gas, rail and subsea.
