Operations & Maintenance Site Manager

£35,000 to £45,000

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Site Operations Manager / O&M Site Manager / Site Operations & Maintenance Manager, to manage a number of District Heating / Heat Network sites ensuring operations are running smoothly. Our client is a leading business within the district energy industry, with the opportunity for a O&M Site Manager to join their team based out of offices in Bristol.

As a Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Daily management of a number of heat generation sites
  • Some project engineering works to develop sites
  • Work with maintenance to maintain site efficiencies
  • Work strategically with Head Office to develop business over time
  • Ideally experience with heat networks or transferable sectors  
  • Safe and efficient operation of the sites
  • Setting up processes and procedures for new heat networks as they come online
  • Build and manage client and customer relationships
  • Operational budget responsibility and reporting against KPIs
  • Continuous improvements
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Background in Heat Generation or related process sector
  • Technical qualifications within engineering or operations management to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven experience in the operations of large energy projects – district heating / CHP / gas boilers / energy centres, etc.
  • Good knowledge of district heating schemes and how heat networks work
  • Organised and self-motivated
  • Must be willing to travel regularly and hold a valid UK driving licence
  • NEBOSH / IOSH or similar
