This Quality Supervisor role is instrumental in maintaining quality standards and supervising the quality team within a leading industrial/manufacturing firm located in Bristol. Description
- Ensure total adherence to Company Quality Manual and procedure
- Action Internal Quality Audits as directed by Group Quality Manager
- Arrange for all measuring equipment to be calibrated at specified intervals
- Conduct investigations to establish root causes
- Follow Corrective Action (8D) Reports through to conclusion
- Ensure configuration / change management is being adhered to
- Assist line managers to set up and maintain competence and training records for all branch employees
- After complaint has been investigated through to a conclusion arrange; Credit / Collection (liaising with sales), Disposition/Return to stock, liaising with Accounts Dept. and raise Vendor Discrepancy report if required
- Assist warehouse personnel with identification and traceability issues and inspect suspect material before sending to customer
- Submit company performance data to customers in line with their requirements
- Export licencing representative for site.
- Apply for licences and maintain records of shipments.
- Oversee export licencing internal audits. Liaise with Corporate Export Licencing Manager on export licence related matters
- Any other quality related tasks as assigned by the Group Quality Manager
Profile
A successful Quality Supervisor should have:
- Familiar with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 QMS standards requirements
- Internal auditing
- Addressing customer complaints and rejections on suppliers
- Producing quality reports
- Problem resolution experience
- Able to work as part of a quality team or individually
- Understanding of measurements and tolerances
- Metallurgical experience
- Experience in a quality related position
- Experience of using quality tools such as 5 why, FMEA, DMAIC
- Liaising with OEM
- Ability to Produce FAIR reports.
- Very good understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Strong mathematical and IT skills
- Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
- Good understanding of business strategies
- Strong customer relationship skills
