Role Overview:As a Technical Web Developer within our SEO team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the technical health and performance of our clients’ websites. You will focus on implementing on-page technical SEO strategies, managing plugins, and analysing web data to optimise search engine rankings and enhance user experience. You will work closely with the SEO specialists, data analysts, and other technical teams to solve complex problems and improve website performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement on-page technical SEO improvements, including meta tags, headers, schema markup, internal linking, and more.
• Manage and optimise SEO plugins and integrations on client websites.
• Analyse website data using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other tools to derive insights for continuous improvement.
• Set up and manage tracking and reporting for key website metrics and KPIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website performance, speed, and indexing.
• Collaborate with the wider digital marketing team to align SEO strategies with broader marketing goals.
• Monitor the technical health of websites and implement recommendations for performance optimisation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, tools, and industry best practices.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience as a Web Developer, ideally with a focus on technical SEO.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SEO plugins and integrations (e.g., Yoast SEO, RankMath).
• Advanced experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and other data analytics platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex website issues.
• Knowledge of tracking, data analysis, and website performance metrics.
• Familiarity with web performance optimisation tools (e.g., GTMetrix, Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights).
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for web technologies and SEO.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and others.

Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with server-side SEO (e.g., handling redirects, crawl errors, site structure).
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
