Resourcing Group are recruiting for a Building Services Engineer to work for our Regional Maintenance Contractor client undertaking work in and around Bristol.
Job Description:
Reporting to the team Lead Engineer The undertaking of Planned Preventative Maintenance in accordance with SFG 20 as well as providing response to reactive call outs for assigned sites. Working within a well-established and successful team Identifying and completing remedial works as and where required.
Location:
Responsible area covers Bristol and surrounding areas. Sites would be allocated based on location of the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Completing PPM and attendance to reactive call outs within SLA
Raising of quotes to ensure faults are fixed and compliance met.
Updating the company CAFM system
Participation in the local Out of Hours Rota for emergency response (currently 1 in every 8 weeks).
Completion of a reasonable amount of out of hours servicing of equipment when and if required
Attending of a daily team catch up call

Necessary Skills
Essential:
Experience performing works with HVAC Plant & equipment
Working knowledge of SFG20
Extensive experience in General Building services Industry relevant qualifications-I.e. emergency light testing, L8 awareness, plumbing repairs etc.
Recognised qualification in at least one Maintenance/ Engineering discipline.
To carry out repairs/replacement of plant, fixtures and fittings as required
To carry out servicing and repairs of onsite plant, fixtures and fittings
To organise various housekeeping tasks and arrangements
Good communication & basic understanding of IT
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
FGAS / 2391/2394 test & inspection```Duties```
- Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the buildings mechanical systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and address any maintenance concerns promptly
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed
- Interpret and follow schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance staff
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the building is properly maintained and in compliance with safety regulations

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Building Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting logic controllers is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
