About:
A multi-disciplinary development partner is seeking new technical staff at Civil Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer, and Principal Civil Engineer level!

As a large, international consultancy with thousands of employees and well-established processes and workflows, you will be joining a well-structured, professional environment, ideal to elevate your career.

With a modern outlook on hybrid working, including up to 4 days working from home if you do not live within reasonable local commuting distance, they are defying the return-to-office mandate in favour of trusting their employees, and giving them valuable work-life balance.

Role:
As a Civil Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer or Principal Civil Engineer, depending on level, you will be exposed to varying responsibilities day to day that will reflect your existing knowledge.

As a Civil Engineer, this could range from hands-on technical delivery and project ownership of smaller highways, like producing geometry for new estate roads, as well as their connections to existing roads, like junctions and roundabouts. Traditional and sustainable drainage design, for managing surface/storm and foul water now and in the future, accounting for a changing climate. Levels and earthwork design to produce developable sites and minimise earth removed from the site, and utilities coordination and diversions to mitigate impact on existing wet and dry services while ensuring their availability for the new development.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, including the above, you may additionally inherit project ownership, management, resourcing, and bid contribution as a Senior Civil Engineer, and technical approval and client point-of-contact responsibility over the above processes as a Principal Civil Engineer.

At any level, you will have access to major residential projects of huge commercial and human value, creating sustainable and reliable infrastructure for communities and the families that live in them.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the design of residential development-related infrastructure, which might include surface & foul water drainage, estate roads (S38), junctions and roundabouts (S278), and site levels.
  • Knowledge in the application of relevant software, which may include Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow, PDS or KTF.
