My client, a well-established company with over 35 years in service, maintenance, and installation, is looking for a Domestic Gas Service & Repair Engineer. Specializing in housing associations and private domestic customers, they are looking for engineers to join their successful team.
You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining gas appliances, conducting Landlord Gas Safety Inspections, and performing reactive maintenance on various boilers and heating systems. You will manage your time efficiently, adhere to health and safety standards, and work independently while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role also involves flexibility for overtime and participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota. Additionally, you will keep your company vehicle clean and ensure stock levels are maintained.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in domestic heating systems and fault finding, along with a strong focus on customer service. You should be able to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and make decisions while knowing when to seek support. A clean driving license is essential, and experience with renewable heating systems is beneficial but not required, as full training will be provided.
The Role
- Conduct Landlord Gas Safety Inspections and servicing of gas appliances for private and social housing properties.
- Carry out reactive maintenance on boilers and heating systems.
- Strictly adhere to health & safety standards and manufacturer instructions while performing work.
- Flexibility in working hours, including overtime and being part of the out-of-hours call-out rota (compulsory).
- Maintain a clean company vehicle and manage stock levels.
The Person
- Accredited Certification Scheme (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1)
- G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems (UHWSS)
- Knowledge of system controls, electrics, and basic heating wiring
- A clean driving license
