A rapidly growing small business are urgently seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join their dedicated team of three by the start of November. Since their establishment in 2018, they’ve experienced rapid growth and are looking to expand their team further. The ideal candidate will be responsible for boiler breakdowns, servicing, and general gas repairs, providing high-quality customer service and technical expertise.
Day to day of the role:- Conducting boiler breakdown servicing and performing repairs.
- Carrying out boiler servicing and general plumbing tasks.
- Providing customer-facing services, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
- Working alongside our current engineer to manage boiler installations and general plumbing needs.
- Performing general gas repairs following initial diagnostics.
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with regulations.
- At least 5 years of experience in the gas engineering industry.
- Customer-facing experience with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to repair and service boilers, as the business owner will handle the diagnosis and electrical aspects of the job.
- A strong understanding of general gas repairs.
- Must be a team player, able to work independently, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service (after 3 years, one extra day).
- Full healthcare including 4 hours of chiropractic treatment per year.
- 8-hour day shifts.
