Role: Mechanical Project Engineer
Salary: Circa 65k + benefits and car allowance

Role Summary of Mechanical Project Engineer:
Hinkley Point C is the UK's first new-build nuclear power station in a generation and is critical to the UK's NetZero targets.
As a Project Engineer, you'll be pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of activities within the programme, meeting required safety, quality, time, and cost targets. Your role will include recognizing and managing the wider impacts of the programme on the project and building strong relationships to ensure project success.

Responsibilities of a Mechanical Project Engineer:
- Driving the delivery of the contract or package activities to ensure they are delivered safely on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements.
- Developing and implementing strategies and plans in line with the overall programme execution plan (PEP), setting out how the programme of work will be managed, organised, and executed.
- Planning and undertaking the project workload and allocating specific tasks to other appointed personnel associated with the project in conjunction with directions from the Senior Project Manager.
- Researching and preparing various reports pertaining to individual project performance and/or other issues as appropriate.
- Monitoring individual project commercial performance against targets through regular review of job cost reports and detailed work in progress reports.
Requirements of a Mechanical Project Engineer:
- Educated to ONC level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering (Piped Systems, HVAC, Drainage Heating & Cooling) working towards HNC (Preferred)
- Educated to Nuclear installation standards including safety critical systems
- Working towards Professional Qualification in Project Management such as APM PMQ or other recognised qualification
- Experience of working on heavily unionised sites and working alongside IR managers and Trade union representatives
- Experience in working with Qualified equipment products and services including supporting the EQ process
