The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working on innovative and disruptive technologies. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the mechanical design of novel systems in the early stages of development. You will lead the mechanical development for assigned projects, sub-systems, or components, contributing your expertise to a range of missile design research and mainstream projects.

You'll have the opportunity to shape the direction of these projects, rapidly prototype new designs, and contribute to future research initiatives. You will also have the chance to propose ideas for new research topics and secure funding to advance these ideas within the team.

What We're Looking for:

  • A solid understanding of Mechanical Design, including experience with packaging electronics and thermal considerations.
  • Ability to develop conceptual design solutions with limited information and evolving requirements.
  • Awareness of other related fields such as Structural Design and Low Observability is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and negotiate across teams.
  • Relevant experience with 3D CAD/CAE tools (training on preferred CAE tools will be provided).

Note: Successful candidates will be required to achieve DV (Developed Vetting) level clearance for this role.
