Job Description:
They are looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will work closely with their experienced engineers to develop and deliver mechanical design solutions for a range of building services projects. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of experience looking to advance their career in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems for building services, including HVAC, plumbing, and drainage.
-Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
-Support the production of detailed design calculations, specifications, and reports.
-Utilize advanced IT and BIM technologies to iterate designs and present solutions to clients and professionals.
-Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
-Participate in continuous professional development, keeping up with industry trends and new technologies.
-Work under the guidance of Chartered Engineers to enhance your technical skills.
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
2-3 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in building services
Basic understanding of building services systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and drainage.
Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and BIM technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
