MS547 - Multi-Skilled Engineer, Elec Bias (4 on 4 off)Location: Westerleigh, Bristol Salary: £ Completive per annumOverview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a multi-skilled engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out ongoing preventative and emergency maintenance work throughout the sites.The shifts for this role are on a 4 on 4 off basis, involving 4 x 12 hour days (5:00am – 5:00pm) followed by 4 days off.Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Excellent fault finders and have strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC's.
  • They will also be expected to accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system so strong computer skills are a must.
  • To provide technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of technical problems for the site.
  • To work with production during factory start up.
  • Responsible for managing and closing out all equipment failures, work orders and PPM jobs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have a good practical skills and a common-sense approach.
  • Must have the ability to work under extreme pressure if, for example, an entire production line is shut down, and a willingness to work unsociable hours when required.
  • Self-confidence and ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • An understanding of engineering requirements and preferred if they have experience in an FMCG chilled environment.
  • A recognised qualification for mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
