The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Building Services Engineer or Building Services Manager to join a leading Mechanical & Electrical Consultancy team in Bristol. If you have at least 10 years’ experience in building services, technical due diligence, or property consultancy, this is your chance to apply your expertise in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Lead and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet deadlines and budgets.
• Provide expert mechanical and electrical consultancy to clients across diverse projects.
• Stay up-to-date with building codes, safety regulations, and legislation (e.g., L8).
• Support business development in M&E consultancy and other services.
• Oversee engineering projects including specifications, design, lifecycle costs, and tender documentation.
• Conduct surveys and gather field data, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Deliver solutions for electrical, mechanical, and public health systems.
• Advocate for sustainable construction practices in all projects.
• Organise resources and ensure projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
• Minimum 10 years’ post-qualification experience in building services consultancy with an electrical and mechanical bias.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with problem-solving abilities.
• Experience presenting to C-suite stakeholders and preparing technical reports.
• Ability to offer multiple solutions and clearly communicate their benefits and challenges.
• NVQ3 in Building Services Engineering or a recognised Engineering Degree.
• Flexibility to travel across the UK and work with short notice.
• Valid passport and full UK/EU driving licence.
