We supply and maintain a range of mobility equipment to help clients stay independent for longer in their own homes. Our mission is to provide the best equipment and service we can, to support individuals, families, and the community. With extensive experience in the field, we are specialists in the provision of hoisting systems (ceiling track) and our stairlift and large lift operations are rapidly expanding. The business continues to develop in all areas, and we have recently been successful in securing further contract work within our operating base.

About the role

We are offering a new Trainee Mobility Engineer the opportunity to join our committed team, in a rewarding role. The role will include supporting our existing team with the installation and maintenance of a range of equipment in service users’ homes, as well as in schools, nursing homes and other locations. You will be well supported, and training and development opportunities will be ongoing.

The role will include working alongside one of our skilled engineers assisting with:

  • installation of a range of different mobility equipment - ceiling track hoists, stairlifts, through floor home lifts and step lifts, as well as ramping systems
  • routine maintenance of equipment, including load testing of hoisting equipment, which will involve some lifting

Your responsibilities will include:

  • liaising closely with company office staff and management
  • working in line with company values, providing a person-centred service

We are looking for

  • An electro-mechanical aptitude and enjoyment of fault finding
  • A work ethic and values which closely match those of the company
  • A flexible approach, together with a willingness to share experience and to learn
  • A willingness to learn about the industry and a range of different equipment
  • A desire to work in a role which helps other members of the community maintain their independence

To undertake the work, you will need to hold a full UK driving license and should also be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check which will be organised by the company.
