Weapons/Marine Engineer

Provide Support, using engineering SQEP to allow the data set contained within a MoD IT system to be maintained, developed, improved and integrated, into a coherent application for current and future Naval platforms.

  • Actively seek out non-conformant, duplicate and redundant data within defined delegations. Initiate and coordinate external action where necessary. Ensure data rights, support and business needs are captured and configured against the data that they relate to. Perform audit of system data quality and manage shortfalls Manage access and governance of the ROSETTA application set on behalf of the platform information asset owners.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills Essential:

  • Experience within the UK Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) environment and / or: Experience in the UK / International Defence Industry. All aspects of Data Governance (data Migration, Management and improvement) Experience in IPR, ITAR & ASSC. Practical experience of operating and maintaining a modern warship. Experienced Weapons or Marine Engineer. All aspects of Document Configuration Management.
