Remedial Works Manager - Firestopping

Location: Nationwide (Head Office - Bristol)

Salary: £38,000.00-£45,000.00

Our client is looking for a Remedial Works Manager to oversee fire safety remedial projects, including Fire Damper Replacements and Firestopping installations. This role involves managing site teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-driven, and committed to delivering projects to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

      Manage site operations and service delivery for Fire Damper Remedial Projects.

Ensure compliance with BS 9999, BESA DW145 Regulations, and BM TRADA/FIRAS Standards.

Lead and coordinate technicians and subcontractors, driving efficiency and quality.

Provide support for Mechanical Technicians, including HR-related responsibilities.

Conduct site inspections, competency checks, and audits to maintain compliance.

Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address project challenges.

Oversee risk assessments, method statements, and project documentation.

Promote a strong health and safety culture across all projects.

Requirements:

      Proven experience in firestopping management or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations.

Excellent leadership, project management, and organisational skills.

Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.

Qualifications & Desirable Experience:

      NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (

Accreditation from FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent (desirable).

UK Driving Licence.

Ability to obtain DBS and security clearance.

Experience working in prisons or high-security sites (desirable).
