Vehicle Damage Assessor

Bristol, BS4Up to £40,000 depending on experience (+ Bonus)

Looking for a new opportunity in the automotive bodyshop industry? Want to join a dynamic team in Bristol? Look no further! We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team in BS4.

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for repairs and damages on vehicles, while ensuring that you repair to insurance and customer requirements. You will be a crucial member of our team, working closely with our automotive body shop to ensure that vehicles are restored to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare estimates for repair work on damaged vehicles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency- Adhere to insurance and customer requirements, providing detailed and transparent estimates- Order parts needed for repairs and ensure timely delivery- Gain authorisation from insurance companies and customers before commencing work- Liaise with the body shop team to ensure a clear understanding of the work required and the budget allocated- Work within H&S regulations to maintain a safe and secure working environment for yourself and others

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, within an automotive body shop environment (experienced qualified or nonqualified candidates considered)- Excellent knowledge of vehicle repair and damage assessment techniques- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines- Detail-oriented with excellent organisation skills- Experience with insurance claims and approvals- Knowledge of vehicle regulations and safety standards- Proven track record of providing accurate and detailed estimates
