Mobile Plant Mechanic

Based / covering: SOUTHWEST - BRISTOL /AVONMOUTH

Salary: £43,680 basic Circa £55k including average overtime

LWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner for a nationwide recycling plant hire company, who hire and sell quality machinery from a range of world-renowned OEM brands. Due to ongoing expansion there’s now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mobile heavy Plant Mechanic to join their growing engineering team.

The Role:

  • The main purpose of this new role is to diagnose problems, maintain and repair a fleet of recycling plant such as shredders and screeners out in the field.
  • The mobile service team covers the whole of the UK so overtime and some overnight stays would be required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and background in mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge of heavy plant will be essential, and previous experience with shredders and screeners would be a major advantage.
  • knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems is essential.
  • Must have previous experience of mobile/field servicing.
  • Confident to work alone and have good timekeeping.
  • Own hand tools, fault find quickly and have a good standard of workmanship.
  • Maintain positive working relations with customers.
  • Must have previous experience of mobile/field service.
  • willing to travel and work a significant amount of paid overtime/be on call as customers are throughout the UK
  • Must have a full driving licence.
