Job Description: Mobile Multiskilled Engineer

Location: Mobile, covering South West

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mobile Multiskilled Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across various client sites within the South West. This role requires a proactive and adaptable individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. You will be 18th Edition qualified and possess a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks across multiple disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, and building fabric.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on a variety of equipment and systems.
  • Carry out electrical installations, testing, and inspections in accordance with the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Respond to emergency callouts and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including job sheets and test certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Manage and maintain company vehicle and tools.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
  • Utilize and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering fundamentals to effectively diagnose and resolve issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification (essential).
  • Completion of a recognized engineering fundamentals course or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a multiskilled maintenance role.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving license (essential).
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS) is desirable.
  • Experience with HVAC systems is desirable.
