gap personnel Bristol are acting as an employment business, currently working in partnership with a well-established parcel sorting company. gap personnel are currently looking for 2 Parcel Sorters to start asap!

As part of the team you will help to load and unload vehicles engaged in parcel freight distribution. This role involves lifting up to 25kg. You will need to be a good communicator and reliable, have a good eye for detail, be able to work as a part of team and adhere to health and safety at work.

Key responsibilities

  • Use the correct equipment and methods for handling and moving all freight
  • Be able to marry up locations and ID codes with the correct cages
  • Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the depot
  • Report all damages immediately to your line manager
  • Ensure all freight being loaded or unloaded matches relevant paperwork / scanner information
  • Ensure that customers freight are transported, stored safely and treated with respect
  • Ensure the security of freight and company assets by reporting and suspicious activity to your line manager or the security team
  • Ensure warehouse is kept tidy and H&S issues reported immediately
