Purpose:Lead the Policy Team in setting the strategic direction of the Authority, working with senior leaders to articulate and advance regional priorities during a crucial period of transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the Local Growth Plan.
- Facilitate collaboration with Government and stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality briefings for senior leaders.
- Direct policy programmes and projects.
- Maintain strategic relationships across government and other stakeholders.
Ideal Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Degree level education or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of policy landscapes and devolved authorities.
Experience:
- Senior-level experience in complex stakeholder environments.
- Proven leadership and consensus-building skills.
- Experience in policy development and influencing government.
- Advising senior officers and elected representatives.
- Drafting high-quality, publishable documents.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and challenge effectively.
- Work accurately under pressure with changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
