Head of Policy needed in Bristol Paying  £350 per day ref 5265790

Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • Purpose:Lead the Policy Team in setting the strategic direction of the Authority, working with senior leaders to articulate and advance regional priorities during a crucial period of transition.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and lead the Local Growth Plan.
    • Facilitate collaboration with Government and stakeholders.
    • Produce high-quality briefings for senior leaders.
    • Direct policy programmes and projects.
    • Maintain strategic relationships across government and other stakeholders.

    Ideal Qualifications and Knowledge:

    • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
    • Strong knowledge of policy landscapes and devolved authorities.

    Experience:

    • Senior-level experience in complex stakeholder environments.
    • Proven leadership and consensus-building skills.
    • Experience in policy development and influencing government.
    • Advising senior officers and elected representatives.
    • Drafting high-quality, publishable documents.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to motivate and challenge effectively.
    • Work accurately under pressure with changing priorities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
