We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Compliance Executive to join our client's dynamic team, a leading independent insurance broker that has been one of the best in the business for over 40 years!

This role offers the flexibility to work full-time or part-time, supporting both local and national operations, you will be fully office-based in their beautiful and bustling Bristol offices.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's best practices, procedures, and policies comply with relevant regulations and laws, mitigating risks, and supporting the overall compliance framework.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to-

  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), insurance laws, and any other applicable legislation.
  • Assisting in developing, updating, and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and manuals to align with legal and regulatory changes.
  • Conducting regular internal audits to assess the company’s and clients’ compliance with established regulations, and reporting findings to senior management.
  • Identifying compliance risks and implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management on compliance issues, risk management initiatives, and regulatory updates.
  • Assist in managing broker licensing, ensuring timely renewals, and keeping on track with relevant legal documentation.
  • Oversee the investigation of complaints and breaches, working to resolve issues promptly and ensuring lessons are learned to prevent future occurrences.
  • Act as the key point of contact with regulatory bodies, ensuring all communications, notifications, and reports are timely and accurate.

To be successful in this role, you will require-

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in an insurance compliance or regulatory role, ideally within the insurance broking sector.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance practices.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in compliance or risk management (e.g., ICA, CISI, or CII) are an advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of insurance products, practices, and regulatory frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory documents and communicate the implications to non-experts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary is negotiable depending on your experience and knowledge. In return for all your efforts, you will be rewarded with some highly competitive benefits-
