Product Governance Advisor
Location: BristolSalary Range: £30,000 - £36,000

The Role:
As a Product Governance Advisor, you will work closely with key stakeholders to provide guidance and expertise on regulatory product governance requirements, ensuring all products meet PROD Handbook and Consumer Duty standards. The role includes developing and managing governance processes, reporting on compliance and customer outcomes, and implementing a product governance framework. This involves building a comprehensive schedule of governance activities and creating detailed reports to support ongoing product development and regulatory compliance. Key tasks include:
- Product Governance Process: Manage governance processes and timelines, create an annual view of tasks, and maintain a tracker to monitor obligations. Handle partner inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
- Product Review Process: Coordinate product review data submissions, collaborate with teams to align products with regulatory requirements, and define the product review calendar.
- Consumer Duty Outcomes Management: Oversee action logs, provide regular dashboard updates, and support Consumer Duty reporting.
- Product Change Management: Coordinate the change process, manage audit logs, and guide stakeholders on necessary change requirements.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Contribute to risk management efforts by identifying and managing operational, reputational, and regulatory risks.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance product governance, regulatory knowledge (specifically the FCA's PROD Handbook and Consumer Duty guidelines), and an analytical approach. Experience in managing stakeholders and understanding customer needs within the insurance domain is crucial. Other qualifications include:
- Proven experience in insurance or regulatory compliance, with knowledge of the insurance sector.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks.
- Strong data analysis skills and accuracy in approach.
- Effective prioritization and time management.
- Ability to foster productive working relationships across departments.
