About Our Client:

We are excited to be recruiting a new Risk and Compliance Associate on behalf of our client. Our client is a leading organisation in the legal industry, providing commercially-savvy legal advice and services. They are committed to delivering exceptional risk and compliance solutions, and they are looking for a motivated individual to join their in-house risk and compliance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Data Protection Officer and procurement lead to manage data protection, contracting matters, and internal risk management.
  • Provide contract and professional compliance advice for client tenders, retainer letters, terms of business, and supply contracts.
  • Support the firm's approach to procurement and supply chain risk management.
  • Advise stakeholders on the SRA Code of Conduct, data protection, and commercial risk management.
  • Stay updated on data protection developments and their impact on developing legal services technologies.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior members of the firm and the Digital Data & Technology team.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Commercial law expertise with exposure to data protection law.
  • Background in non-contentious commercial/contracting/procurement work.
  • Motivated and passionate about emerging technology and market trends.
  • Excellent strategic project management, planning, and advisory skills.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience in a legal risk and compliance environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management.
