Are you an enthusiastic teaching assistant, with extensive experience working with students with SEN, Long - Term teachers have a fantastic opportunity to work on a flexible basis within a fantastic specialist school.

The school supports students age 3 - 19 and is split across 3 sites, the predominant need of the school is severe and profound learning difficulties, complex needs, autism, sensory impairments.

Key Duties:

  • Offering general classroom support

  • 1:1 and small group interventions

  • Support with admin duties, which include photocopying, printing, display boards, activity prep

  • Offering emotional support

  • Monitoring on break time duties

  • Helping on school trips and extra curricular activities

  • Attending additional training to develop your skill set further

About you

It is essential that you:

  • Have at least 2 years of experience working with children

  • Have a strong understanding of SEN and you can recognise how to support the individual needs

  • Understanding of safeguarding and guidance for safe working practice

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Team player!

  • Great sense of humour!

This role will be perfect for a TA looking for flexibility to work around their schedule, the hours of work will be Monday to Friday, term time only between the hours of 8:30 am - 3:30pm.
