I am working with Primary Schools around the North Somerset area who are looking for teaching assistants who can support 1:1 with SEND children and in a general classroom setting.

You will have the opportunity to step into various classrooms; EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 and support a number of pupils. You have the opportunity to work within a classroom supporting the Class Teacher or working 1:1 with an SEND child.

We are looking for candidates who are experienced in a school environment or with experience working closely with children or young people.

The Role

This position is an opportunity for ad-hoc work; you choose when you would like to work; full-time or part-time. These schools are looking for flexible, approachable and calm individuals who can build fast and strong relationships with pupils and staff.

You will be expected to:

  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to assess childrensā€™ development.

  • Support with small group interventions.

  • Opportunity to work 1:1 with SEND children.

  • Opportunity to provide general support throughout the classroom with all pupils.
