Reed Food & FMCG are currently recruiting for a QA Technician to join a Food Manufacturing Business in Greater Bristol. This opportunity is full time, permanent and the business work 4 days per week, Monday – Thursday.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Quality Control: Support production by ensuring all quality checks are understood, implemented, and products meet expected standards.
  • Education and Training: Educate and train production staff on quality standards at each point of production.
  • Issue Resolution: Oversee and address quality issues, raise awareness, and implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain Quality Attribute Sheets and cleaning instructions.
  • Audits and Monitoring: Conduct GMP audits and regular monitoring checks.
  • Non-Conformances: Raise non-conformances for materials or processes as needed.
  • Allergen Monitoring: Manage allergen monitoring of plant and equipment.
  • Hygiene: Develop and maintain hygiene standards and training.
  • Traceability: Perform traceability exercises at defined frequencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Quality Control, Inspection, and Compliance within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Food Hygiene principles and GMP/HACCP.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the food industry is highly desirable.
