Supplier Quality Technician

Yolk Recruitment is exclusively partnered with this well-established manufacturing business who have a new opportunity for a Quality Compliance Officer to help shape a new approach to supplier Quality.

This future-proof business is a key player in sustainable manufacturing, supplying components and materials used in projects that shape the spaces around us all. This is a practical, hands on role focused on the ground - working in the lab, shop floor and warehouse as well as your own office space where you'll be supporting compliance, checking products and helping build systems from the ground up.

This is what you'll be doing

  • Carrying out visual and dimensional checks on incoming materials and components
  • Assisting with testing materials such as metal fixings, compounds, and coatings
  • Supporting the development of simple testing methods and recording results
  • Helping to investigate quality issues on-site and feeding back to relevant teams
  • Maintaining supplier compliance records and assisting with audits
  • Working closely with teams across manufacturing, warehousing, and supply chain to resolve quality concerns

The experience you'll need

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment in a quality, testing or compliance role
  • Previous involvement in material or product testing (visual, strength, basic performance)
  • Able to support the creation of simple test methods and understand product specifications
  • Comfortable working in a practical, hands-on role around shop floor and lab environments
  • Confident communicating across teams and asking the right questions to get to the root of a problem
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset and keen eye for detail
