Technical Lead - Valves

We are seeking a Technical Lead (Valves) to support critical nuclear energy programmes across the UK and Europe, including new-build power stations, small modular reactor (SMR) development, and major international projects.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team embedded within high-profile infrastructure programmes, you'll play a pivotal role in the delivery of safe, high-quality, and timely engineering solutions. This position offers a mix of client-facing and internal responsibilities with a focus on innovative thinking, technical excellence, and collaborative delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical meetings and manage stakeholder communication.
Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and design changes.
Oversee the resolution of technical issues, non-conformances, and exemption requests.
Monitor contract and design evolution, ensuring alignment with project progress.
Coordinate qualification activities to align with contract and site needs.
Support and mentor less experienced Technical Leads within the team.
Report key performance indicators to senior leadership.
Requirements:
Master's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a Scientific discipline.
Extensive knowledge of valves and related mechanical, piping, and layout systems.
Understanding of nuclear power station design (EPR or general PWR).
Familiarity with equipment interfaces, safety case integration, and qualification standards.
Strong communication skills with experience in contract and document management.
Experience using tools such as UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, and Teamcenter is advantageous.
