Purpose of the Role:
This specialist project manager role involves working on large infrastructure projects. An ideal candidate is a Chartered Engineer or possesses an equivalent level of combined qualifications and proven work experience. You will be expected to administer all contract elements related to the delivery of large infrastructure projects in accordance with the project programme, ensuring the smooth running of the project and working closely with the Design Manager.
Responsibilities include ensuring all correspondence and work packages are saved, recorded, and received on time. You will identify project risks at the earliest opportunity, propose mitigation measures or escalate matters quickly. Additionally, you will oversee the delivery of highways and construction documents produced by the appointed Design and Build contractor, ensuring all deliverables are completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the contract with the Contractor for the design stage of the project
- Manage early warnings by considering, seeking solutions, deciding on actions, and managing records
- Review and accept the Contractor's programme
- Maintain communication protocol between the client and Contractor
- Control changes related to commercial instructions
- Provide input to and review planning application documents including the Environmental Statement
- Utilise CEMAR to manage contracts
Job Requirements:
- Experience in NEC4 Contract Management
- Proficiency in using CEMAR for contract administration
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure project delivery
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to identify and mitigate project risks
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent qualifications
