Job Opportunity: Interim Project Accountant - 2-3 Month Contract
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Interim Project Accountant to join a dynamic SME in South Bristol for a 2-3 month contract. You will support the Interim Financial Controller in implementing a new accounting system and assist with year-end processes.
Location: South Bristol (3-4 days in the office)
Day Rate: £200-£225 per day via Umbrella
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management:
- Organise financial data to enhance month-end reporting accuracy.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets, provisions/accruals, and payroll/pensions.
Process Improvement:
- Streamline finance processes for efficiency.
- Collaborate on the new finance system implementation.
Ledger Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate debtors and creditors ledgers for cash flow management.
- Resolve discrepancies in financial records with the Finance team.
Support and Collaboration:
- Partner with the Interim Financial Controller to address issues.
- Engage in additional projects to support the finance function.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
- Proven track record as an Interim Project Accountant or in a similar SME role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Experience with finance system implementation is highly desirable.
Personal Attributes:
- Proactive and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Timing: The ideal candidate should be available to start by the end of February for a minimum of 2 months, with the possibility of extension.
