About this Role:
Experienced / ambitious Project Director required to take the lead on a large 70M+ new build industrial development in Avonmouth on the outskirts of Bristol for a Tier 1 main contractor.
You will be responsible for managing the project through the preconstruction stage through to start on site in January next year and then construction phase through to handover in 2026. You will lead your project team holding ultimate responsibility for client liaison, design development, construction methodology and programme of works, the smooth and timely progress of construction on site, contractual and financial control of the project throughout, plus safety and quality control.
This a large and technically challenging five storey steel framed building for a key client.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The client is large national main contractor with a turnover in excess of 900m, with secured workload in the industrial, commercial, education and high spec residential sectors, and strong cash position.
Projects range in size from 40m to 100m+, secured through a mixture of national and regional frameworks, negotiated schemes with repeat clients and competitive tenders. There is s future pipeline of work in the Bristol / South West area.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will ideally be an experienced Project Director with a proven track record within a major contracting organisation, able to deliver large scale design & build schemes up to 70m in value. Key attributes will include excellent high level client, design team and project team management ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, plus focus and drive.

Experience of delivering large steel framed industrial schemes previously would be advantageous.
Due to the nature, size and complexity of the scheme, the client will consider and support a candidate with the correct technical expertise and experience who plans to lodge for the duration of the scheme
