We are looking for a dedicated Aspiring Clinical Psychologist / Autism Support Assistant at a fantastic school in Bristol for children aged 4-19. The school focuses on addressing the educational, social, and therapeutic needs of its students, creating an environment where individual happiness and well-being are prioritized. Here, students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

This Aspiring Clinical Psychologist role is an incredible opportunity to put your studies into practice and gain hands-on experience supporting vulnerable children with additional needs. Many of the children you will work with face barriers due to their complex needs. Your role will be instrumental in providing consistency, equipping them with the tools they need to feel safe, secure, empowered, and confident that they can succeed in life.

You will work alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with learning difficulties, including autism, sensory impairments, physical challenges, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and associated challenging behaviours. You will also collaborate with professionals such as Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors.

Person Specification for Aspiring Clinical Psychologist:
