Inventory and Procurement Coordinator

Inventory and Procurement Coordinator Details:

• Part-time: 2.5 - 3 days per week (flexible hours)

• Must work at least half a day on Fridays

• Location: Central Bristol, BS2 (no parking)

• Temporary contract, approx. 3 months (potential to extend / become permanent)

• £14.00 per hour (plus holiday pay)

Inventory and Procurement Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

• Manage company inventory using Excel, focusing on chemical and research materials

• Place large volume orders with suppliers

• Track and communicate supplier lead times and potential delays

• Receive and label incoming stock

• Proactively improve current inventory management systems

• Support safety and quality processes, including updating COSHH status documentation

• Collaborate with an energetic team in a fast-paced R&D environment

Ideal Candidate Skills:

• Exceptional Excel skills with strong data management capabilities

• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative inventory solutions

• Strong communication skills to keep team informed about procurement status

• Comfort working in a dynamic, high-energy workplace

• Attention to detail for precise inventory and safety documentation

• Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols / quality management (desirable but not essential!)

• Procurement and inventory management experience (desirable but not essential!)
