Purchasing Administrator (Immediate)

  • Location: Bedminster, Bristol
  • Salary: Temporary with the potential to go permanent - £12-14/hour
  • Hours: 37.5 / week
  • Start Date: 28th October

Join a family-owned business in Bedminster - they are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Administrator to handle their administrative duties efficiently and keep records meticulously updated.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage order, ensuring timely delivery of all goods and services
  • Liaise with Purchase Ledger to process supplier invoice queries, ensuring timely approval for payment.
  • Creation of all special codes
  • Dealing with incoming enquiries from both internal and external sales team
  • Answering queries from suppliers
  • Ordering and despatching all sample orders
  • Maintaining stock uniformity
  • Maintaining weights/packaging/barcode details
  • Obtaining images for all new stock lines
  • Ordering company stationery and reporting on spend
  • Support general office administration tasks, such as answering calls, scheduling meetings, and handling documentation.

Personal Attributes:

  • An understanding of Procurement and a distribution business would be advantageous
  • Proactive, with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload independently in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency of Microsoft office package including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • High level of integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and delivering quality work.
  • Problem solving skills for resolving supplier and procurement issues

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative role.
  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, or logistics is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • This is an ideal position for someone looking to further a career in administration in a busy Buying department taking in excess of 500 calls per week.
