VACANCY - Purchasing Assistant
ESS Employment are seeking an experienced person to work for an established local company.
Duties:• Take responsibility for day to day procurement and raising of all supplier purchase orders• Manage, and also develop existing systems to ensure stock availability whilst meeting stock days targets using Sage 200 ERP.• Innovate around the best way to buy from suppliers, twinning orders together or meeting certain volume requirements to gain the most competitive prices.• Assist in the procurement of raw material stocks• Assist in the development of stock control systems, working with logistics• Drive a decrease in stock turn days, by stocking as efficiently as possible• Forecast supply and demand, from ERP system data• Assist in developing new suppliers in European countries, with an emphasis on reducing dependency on far eastern suppliers.• Assist supplier research and ensuring compliance• Supplier Quality Management - Ensuring NCR's are opened for internal and external non conformance, take responsibility of bring these NCR's to satisfactory result ensuring supplier improvement or deselection.
Requirements:• 3 years minimum purchasing experience
